12/1/09 - The AICP and the DGA have announced the terms of a new, two-year DGA Commercials Contract effective as of 12/1/09.  Key provisions of the new DGA Commercials Agreement are below:

Term: 12/1/2009 thru 11/30/2011

Wage Rates: 
• No increase for 1st year of contract; 4% increase to all DGA scale rates effective 11/1/2010. 
• Trainee Wage Rates – increase to $200 per day for term of the agreement.
• Presumed Salaries (for calculating union benefits contributions): increase of 3% as of 12/1/09 and another 3% increase on 11/1/10 (Click here for a copy of the new Presumed Salaries table.) 

Travel changes:
• Domestic travel for all categories (Directors, ADs, UPM), may be in coach class.

International travel (“originating or terminating outside the 48 Continental States”):
• For All Categories (Director, AD or UPM) less than 5 hours scheduled from departure to arrival – may be in coach class (i.e., no obligation to fly first class).
• AD/UPM travel in the same class as the Director except where International travel is 5 hours or more scheduled from departure to arrival—where Directors will travel First Class (unless Business Class is available), and ADs/UPMs can travel Business Class.
• Travel-only day at conclusion of a job may be paid at a different rate of pay from the work day pay but must be at least scale.
• Idle day on distant location when no work is performed may be paid at a different rate of pay from the work day but must be at least scale.
